The flyers, first spotted on Rock Glen Road and Saint Georges Road on April 22, contained a link to an antisemitic website. The events on WCU’s campus happened at the same time as the discovery of at least a dozen antisemitic flyers found on Ardmore lawns. “And then we had a range of responses to the upcoming speaker, all of which expressed concern again, for their safety on campus.” “We heard from a significant number of students that the demonstrator on the quad made them feel uncomfortable and the university’s response even more so,” said Rabbi Jeremy Winaker, executive director at Greater Philly Hillel Network, which oversees WCU’s Hillel. The WCU Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion issued an email response on April 24 suggesting students avoid the demonstrator on campus but did not specifically mention the antisemitic nature of his signs. Terrorist, genocidal nation.” The Anti-Defamation League page on El-Kurd describes him as having a “troubling pattern of rhetoric and slander that ranges far beyond reasoned criticism of Israel.” … State-settler collusion emboldening an unquenchable thirst for Palestinian blood & land. On April 29, the school’s Department of English journalism program and Peace and Conflict Studies program hosted Palestinian writer Mohammed El-Kurd, who has previously tweeted anti-Israel statements such as, “Across the country Zionists are beating, gassing, shooting, lynching Palestinians. On April 15, a man with signs reading “Jews Caused 9/11 by Provoking Palestine” and “Jews Reject Jesus Christ, You Know What You Did” walked around WCU’s campus and neighboring streets. Incidents of antisemitism and anti-Zionism on West Chester University’s campus prompted Jewish students to speak out and request a greater response from the WCU administration when anti-Jewish incidents occur on campus. Anyone thinking to attend this school would instantly fall in love.On April 29, WCU Hillel hosted an alternative event to Mohammad El-Kurd’s speaking engagement, where students called for unity and painted a banner. All-in-all west Chester university is everything I wanted in a college life. Otherwise be prepared to walk up to two miles everyday just to get to campus. If you, like me, commute to school then parking permits are a must. This provides a giant meeting hub on the street where students can get food and socialize before classes. All of the buildings can be accessed on one street either through walkways or direct access. This is because the school focuses very hard on providing an appealing look to their students.

The thing I enjoy the most about my school is the scenery and the environment. Most of the classes all take place within walking distance of each other which is very convenient. West Chester is a very nice and quiet school to attend. All without getting caught up in the city life. "My school has a fantastic opportunity for new students, and returning students to excel in their fields of study. But, that may be the precise reason I didn't get the help or formal career instruction I needed from the only individuals best qualified (and paid) to provide me with it simply not being paid enough to care." Thank goodness WCU is comparatively cheap. They'll let you do whatever you like, whenever you like, so long as you dedicate yourself to "finding yourself" by living (and paying) on campus, at their bookstores, for their park passes, paying their parking violations, and becoming a "more well-rounded person" at their institution. Turns out, a Master's is the new Bachelor's! But, as long as Sallie Mae is dishing out loans and your payments are coming in, West Chester doesn't care. I've been constantly told by family, friends, media, and fellow students, that a Bachelor's is all you need to enter the job market in the field you've selected at college. West Chester does not under any circumstances force you to sit down and plan out your graduate career path- they let you fly by the seat of your pants. Nobody, at any point in the process, whether they be the head of the history department or a history professor, informed me that a bachelor's degree in History without any additional qualifiers is essentially a coupon to make $30k a year or less at any generic 9-5 office job. I completed a Bachelor's in History, without the intent to become either a teacher or historian. They'll let you fall through the cracks and not bat an eye, so long as you pay them for the privilege. "Go to West Chester for Physical Therapy or a similar degree.
